CCP PET-MR Hackathon 1

Thursday, July 26, 2018 - 12:00 to Friday, July 27, 2018 - 16:00

The first CCP PET-MR Hackathon will take place at Atlas Visualization Facility of Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, starting with lunch at noon on Thursday 26 and finishing 4pm on Friday 27, 20018.

Registration is now closed.

Topics to be hacked at are:

  • Finish off SIRF 1.2 milestone.
    • Reconstruction data from the GE Signa PET/MR
    • Adding image geometry to SIRF
  • Implement new algorithms in Python
    • use CCPi algorithms for MR.
    • Conjugate gradient
    • MAP-EM and other PET algorithms
  • (optionally in a small group): using SWIG to create Python/MATLAB interfaces

We will be working mainly on 3 repositories:

You hackers are part of the Hackathon1 team with write access to these repos.

Standard workflow will happen on these repos and PR from these repos into the main repo will be done after the hackathon.

You are required to bring your own laptop. If you don’t have the chance let me know. If you don’t have access to eduroam go here

We will have also Azure cloud computing available. In the case you want to open a gui of any kind from Azure to your machine you’ll have to have X installed. Piece of cake for linux, and possibly for mac. Windows users may install VcXsrv  .

Day 1 will start with

  • Explain topics (Kris)
  • How to use Github projects to plan (Edo)
  • Create list of issues and put into projects. Potentially Label all issues:
    • Novice/expert
    • Amount of effort
